Hahnel captur pro11/8/2023 ![]() ![]() If you do so it will not trigger the camera's shutter, just fire the off-camera flash. If you connect a XPRO to the camera's remote shutter via a remote trigger cord you can NOT place the XPRO on the camera's hot-shoe. To make the XPRO work as a remote trigger you have to let it dangle by the remote trigger cord. No if you connect the trigger to the XPro via a cable it will just trigger the flash not the shutter.a advice which is only communicating with the camera via the hotshoe can't trigger the shutter. If/when I do pick up some Godox gear I will continue to use my YN RF-603II's because they are much more compact units to have dangling by their cords. I use my YN RF-603II triggers for their remote shutter release capability often in conjunction with off-camera flash triggering. YN put independent flash and shutter circuits in their manual flash transceivers allowing a single transceiver in the camera's hot-shoe to perform both functions and on the same RF channel. This is one of the issues I have with Godox that is preventing me from switching from my YongNuo 560III/560TX/RF-603II gear. To elaborate on tugwilsons reply two pair of TX/RX units are required operating on different RF frequencies (or according to tug different ID's on same freq) to maintain correct flash sync timing. Unfortunately Godox is old school when it comes to implementing both remote shutter release and off-camera flash with their XPro/X1T triggers. The advantage of this would be that it eliminates the dangling remote trigger receiver. You would need a second XPRO as the off-camera remote trigger transmitter. You can then trigger the camera remotely via the the on-camera XPRO, which will also trigger the off-camera flash. ![]() If I am not mistaken you can connect a hot-shoe mounted XPRO to the camera's remote trigger input. Hopefully they will join this discussion, but I think there is a simpler solution. There are other members of this forum who are much more familiar with Godox RF controller/triggers than I am. When you remotely trigger the camera the XPRO would then trigger the off-camera flash.Ĭross talk between the two brands of RF triggers shouldn't be a problem but if it is then just try different channels until you find channels that work. The Godox XPRO could then be mounted on the camera's hot-shoe. You can let the reciever dangle from the cord or attache it to your camera or tripod by some means such as Velcro patches. The simple Captur apparently can be connected to some cameras via a cord to enable remote triggering of the camera. Or better yet, can I use a second X-Pro trigger, to act as a remote shutter release for both the camera and the strobes (using a sync cable)? I'd like to get remote shutter release on my Fujis (which the Captur will provide), but I need to know that firing the Hahnel unit, will also trigger the X-Pro to fire my strobes at the same time. Does anyone using the Godox X-Pro triggers, know if you they'll work properly when mounted on top of a Hahnel Captur Wireless Receiver? ![]()
